As the HR Generalist you will plan, direct & coordinate a fast-paced human resources department. You will maintain functions such as payroll, recruitment, employee relations, personnel policies, & regulatory compliance in addition to various administrative functions.

Responsibilities
• Develops and maintains a human resources system that meets top management information needs. Generates and executes ideas and programs for employee retention plans
• Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.
• Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
• Payroll administration
Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations
• Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
• Administers benefits programs such as life, health, and dental insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
• Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier.
• Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
• Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
• Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations; Familiarity with Department of Health Surveys.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of comparable Human Resources experience
Effective organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
Proficient reading, comprehension, writing, and mathematical ability
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Interest in working with senior population
Minimum of Associates Degree required; Bachelors degree preferred
Able to maintain a flexibility to meet the needs of the current and future staff
