Responsible for operation of metal fabrication equipment including in a fast-paced production environment. Candidates must be able to operate equipment consistently and efficiently while maintaining a high level of quality and safety at all times. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to read and understand detailed instructions regarding specifications, measurements, and instruction provided from drawings and work orders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Reads job order to determine machine programming requirements
• Sets up machine parameters and power settings
• Puts steel into machine to cut part
• Checks to print using various measuring devices to determine accuracy of part
• Perform part verifications
• Performs routine machine maintenance
• Performs simple laser programming
• Troubleshoots problems and adjusts machine as necessary to correct
• Schedules machine maintenance with Maintenance Department

Skills:

Laser Operation, Sheet metal, Blueprint reading, Machine Operation, Mathematics, Mazak.

1-year minimum experience is highly recommended however, on the job training may be available.

Pay: $13.00 - $25.00 per hour
