Founded in Milan, Italy over 50 years ago, ILLCA is a leader in the design, development and manufacturing of shelters and outdoor cabinets for applications in telecommunications, railways, energy, aeronautics, and defense components.

ILLCA has opened a brand-new startup facility in Olathe, Kansas and is currently seeking a Welding expert. The Welder is responsible for using MIG/TIG processes to create weldments out of various flat and formed components.

The Olathe, KS facility engineers and develops prototypes and custom pieces requiring a high degree of problem solving, creativity and flexibility. This is NOT a production shop; This is an excellent place for more experienced professionals to grow and be challenged in their field.

Illca offers a beautiful, open workspace, including excellent HVAC, new equipment, and an opportunity to work either part time flexible or full time. 

Responsibilities

• Make finished weldments per drawings using various components. Some fitting may be required.
• Must be experienced in fixturing small, medium, and large weldments to hold tolerances.
• Fabricating and welding of prototype and production weldments and assemblies. GMAW and GTAW welding.
• Assist the project manager and team mates as requested.

Qualifications

• 1 year of welding experience required.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Proven working experience in manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with various measurement tools.
• Forklift experience preferred or willing to learn.
• Familiarity with weld symbols and engineering drawings preferred.
• Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner.
