Job Description Shipper/Receiver The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the safe loading and unloading of raw materials and finished products. Must be committed to safe forklift operation, and have to ability to work from a pick list Key Responsibilities: Ability to safely operate a sit down forklift while maintaining a valid forklift certification Must be comfortable working outside in the elements, cold temperatures, hot summer temperatures, rainy and snowy conditions Communicate with truck drivers to ensure the accuracy of the load as well as safety requirements for loading/unloading materials Ability to think on your feet in identifying from the pick list where the material is located either in the yard or warehouse Identifying what needs to be double stacked in the yard versus single stacked Identify where product is located in the yard by utilizing the identifying signs Guide the truck drivers where they need to go in order to be safely loaded/unloaded Participate in Inventories when needed Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required Must be legally authorization to work in U.S. Must be able to pass a forklift certification class and test Must be able to read a pick list and match lot numbers correctly Must be able to work overtime as necessary, which could include weekends Must be able to pass a fit for duty Physical Must be able to lift up to 76 lbs. unassisted Benefits of Employment: IKO recognizes that its success is due to the strength of its employees.
