Essential Functions

• Develop and maintain good working relationships with employees and managers in the organization.
• Provide HR advice and consultation to employees and management concerning employee relations and conflict management
• Assists in conducting and resolving investigations regarding employee complaints and concerns.
• Oversee the recording of maintenance of employee information, such as personal data, compensation, benefits, attendance, disciplinary actions, and terminations/separations of employment.
• Review and complete all garnishment and national medical support orders.
• Monitors division compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations relating to equal employment opportunity, unemployment compensation and any other employment related requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring that Human Resources information is accurate and entered/uploaded to appropriate systems/teams for new hires, changes of status on a timely basis.
• Assists with the interviewing process – Conducting phone screens, scheduling interviews, candidate debrief and recruiting meetings.
• Assists with the onboarding and new hire process by ensuring all information is accurately noted in the system
• Handles the planning and execution of special events such as organizational meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties and any additional company celebrations.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish
• Bachelors degree in Communications, Human Resources or related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years Recruiting/Human Resource experience and/or training
• Knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization
• Experience with recruiting tools such as Workstream or Linkedin.

Skills

• Deep understanding of state and federal employment/hiring laws and regulations
• Experience with benefits administration and the ability to speak to plan offerings
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
