Job Summary:
The Director of Product Management will be responsible for leading and developing an experienced team of technical professionals and product managers; building and growing an unparalleled customer experience through product development and execution. The Director will participate in and lead a wide variety of activities, including building and improving customer features, developing specifications in partnership with development and testing; understanding and driving stakeholder requirements and engagement. The successful Director will emphasize quality, efficiency, on-time delivery, and user engagement while managing stakeholder expectations. The Director is passionate about best practices,
continuous improvement and expert at managing cross-functional teams, removing impediments, and facilitating consensus to achieve objectives.

Job Expectations:
● Lead, mentor and grow a diverse product team
● Prioritize and document product requirements, user stories, and designs for feature enhancements for existing and new application modules while considering the needs of customers, competitive market offerings, and our overall company strategy
● Manages product backlog and prioritizes based on the cost and the business value of the product
● Manages product management team and assures clear product definitions and roadmaps
● Help to summarize and analyze findings from user research and customer behavior patterns and create actionable plans to optimize a localized experience for our global customers
● Assist in creating the product roadmap, oversee projects/tasks and communicate updates with all relevant stakeholders and team members
● Establish, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators and make recommendations based on data
● Take an active role in the estimation, sprint planning, daily scrum, and retrospective meetings
● Act as the primary owner of relationships with peer domain teams for inbound/outbound dependencies, between product/platform/service partners/PMO, and between stakeholders and engineering teams
● Manage, inspire, and improve morale, retention, culture, and performance

● Provide career development, coaching, mentorship, and sponsorship, and cultivate emerging leaders

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Required:

● Understanding of all elements of the software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, change management, quality assurance, and release management.
● Proven track record of managing products from ideation to execution to deployment.
● Works with the project team to determine resource requirements (people, equipment, materials) and estimate the cost of such resources
● Ability to juggle/prioritize multiple critical projects simultaneously.
● Ability to write clear and concise project requirement documents.
● Experience in conceptualizing and implementing products across multiple platforms and devices.
● Strong understanding of user engagement, business goals, and the ability to lead a team in converting those goals into product requirements and priorities.
● Strong communication skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholders; superior organizational and analytical skills
● Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes
● Customer-first mentality with the knowledge to work with internal groups to make their websites more user friendly
● Must be comfortable interfacing with business stakeholders and executives, as well as technical counterparts, and able to seamlessly translate among all levels and functions.

Preferred:
● Entrepreneurial drive and ability to lead, manage and achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
● Experience with continuous integration and test-driven development/design practices.

Equipment Knowledge:
Required:

● Experience developing and deploying software in a rapid delivery and agile environment.
● Strong understanding of web information architecture & ERP functions necessary.

Preferred:
● Experience with e-commerce websites and platforms.
● Technical proficiency in both client and server-side technologies.

Experience Requirements:
Generally requires a minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience leading an agile technology organization or relevant experience. Experience developing and implementing Agile processes.

Education Requirements:
BS degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field requires equivalent experience.

Judgment/Reasoning Ability:

Able to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly using sound
judgment, poise, and diplomacy. Ability to use judgment and reasoning skills and determine when to escalate issues, as required, in a timely manner.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. The Team Members are frequently required to sit, walk, climb stairs, use hands and fingers, bend, stoop and reach with hands and arms.
Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the work day. The Team Member may occasionally lift or move office products and supplies up to 25 pounds. Proper lifting techniques are required. Reasonable accommodations may be made
to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
