Summary of Position:The Benefits, Compensation, and HRIS Administrator, under the leadership of the Director of Human Resources, is responsible for the successful administration of our HRIS, including benefits and compensation, and compliance.

Essential Job Responsibilities & Duties:

Benefits

  • Responsible for the administration, reconciliation and audit process of all benefits; maintains relationships with vendors.
  • Oversee the reporting of plan withholdings and applicable employer matching funds to third-party administrators for staff and executives.
  • Oversee the implementation health and welfare programs.
  • Responsible for the oversight of the employee assistance program both domestically and internationally.
  • Participate in the selection, supervision, and coordination of company use of insurance brokers, insurance carriers, pension administrators and other outside sources.
  • Oversee the open enrollment process, including premium updates, rate changes, enrollment materials, etc.
  • Serve as a resource to employees with benefit questions and problems, working to find resolutions.
  • Approve benefit invoices.

Compensation

  • Oversee the merit increase process in the Human Resources system. This includes creation of merit increase spreadsheets, processing merit increases, uploading merit changes into the payroll system and generating any needed reports.
  • Oversee the participation in and management of salary surveys.
  • Perform ad hoc market analysis for salary decisions.

HRIS

  • Act as the primary administrator of the HRIS, entering and managing all changes, including, but not limited to new employee onboarding, personal changes, job and salary changes, offboarding, etc.
  • Serve as the HR side of payroll administration, including review and reconciliation of payroll processing.
  • Run reports as needed.
  • Manage HR data, such as turnover reports, promotional reports, EEOC reporting, etc.
  • Actively participate in the update or conversion of new systems.

General Administration and Compliance

  • Assist with the development, management and administration of the annual budget process and forecasts.
  • Responsible for organizational compliance with all existing legal and government reporting requirements including any related to EEO, ADA, FMLA, ERISA, OSHA.
  • Responsible for the Conflict of Interest reporting.
  • Make recommendations for improvement of policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters as well as benefit program.
  • Communicate changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislations and ensures organization's compliance.
  • Maintain responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
  • Serve as a main departmental resource for building and updating our intranet page.
  • Serve as a main departmental resource for organizing and administering electronic files.
  • Serve as the primary administrator of the departmental email inbox.

Experience & Qualifications/Skills:

  • At least 5 years of strong, systems-based administration is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in data management, reporting, auditing, and reconciling is required.
  • Experience working with an HRIS is required.
  • Strong experience in Excel is required.
  • Prior experience in Human Resources is required, with a demonstrated understanding of compensation, benefits, compliance, and overall processes.
  • Must be detail orientated.
  • Ability to successfully manage external vendor relationships is required.
  • Ability to independently research complex problems for resolution is required.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with global staff with diverse backgrounds, with tact and confidentiality.
  • A commit to and demonstrated values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism is required.
  • Excellent organizational skills are required.

Education, Licenses and/or Certifications etc:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business or Organization Development.
