Responsibilities

Prepares, analyzes, and reviews financial statements using accounting principles. Job Duties: Keeps records of account entries by compiling and analyzing accounting activities. Prepares reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other documents that project the organization's financial position. Reviews financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and compliance. Oversees accounting operations, or a complex segment of the accounting function. Coordinates accounting matters with other departments. Experience and Education: Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter. Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. May act as a lead or first-level supervisor.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and IFRS
  • Strong systems knowledge that includes advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of financial systems and reporting tools
  • Experience working with Great Plains, TM1, and SAP Business Objects preferred
  • Experience with monthly close process required
  • Experience with financial reporting to parent company preferred
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the finance team and to partner with key business stakeholders
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S
  • 5 years of progressive experience working in accounting/finance
  • B.S. in Accounting, CPA and/or MBA a plus
  • Public accounting experience a plus
