Brief Description

Designor create graphics to meet specific commercial or promotional needs, such aspackaging, displays, or logos. May use a variety of mediums to achieve artisticor decorative effects. For this role, the employee should understand the fullmarketing mix and be familiar with ways to analyze market research andcustomers’ behavior. The Graphic Designer must be an energetic self-starter whounderstands Ideal Market’s purpose, can develop a variety of logos, marketingmaterials, signage, and quickly move projects upon appropriate approvals. Thecandidate must be resourceful and able to develop a well-defined timemanagement process in order to progress the vision of assigned companies. TheGraphic Designer should help us achieve our business goals through buildingstrong marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

oDetermine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copyand select style and size of type.

oConfer with clients todiscuss and determine layout design.

oCreate designs,concepts, and sample layouts, based on knowledge of layout principles andesthetic design concepts.

oDevelop graphics andlayouts for product illustrations, company logos, and Web sites.

oUse computer software togenerate new images.

oReview final layouts andsuggest improvements, as needed.

oMaintain archive ofimages, photos, or previous work products.

oPrepare illustrations orrough sketches of material, discussing them with clients or supervisors andmaking necessary changes.

oDraw and print charts,graphs, illustrations, and another artwork, using computer.

oKey information intocomputer equipment to create layouts for client or supervisor.

oResearch new software ordesign concepts.

oStudy illustrations andphotographs to plan presentation of materials, products, or services.

oMark up, paste, and assemble final layouts to prepare layouts forprinter. Engages in superior customer service by making information readilyavailable.
