Description

Provide leadership and perform manufacturing, organization, and preparation of garage door materials for installation, service, and wholesale, according to sales orders and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide leadership guidance to Warehouse Associates on daily tasks 
• Maintain quality specifications by enforcing Company standards and compliance with safety and housekeeping standards
• Supervise and stage equipment for deliveries and installations
• Lead the loading and unloading of raw material and supply trucks
• Fabricate garage door sections according to customer specifications
• Build overhead garage door tracking systems 
• Pack, organize and stage garage door hardware kits
• Perform inventory counts and track inventory levels
• Complete paperwork for materials received
• Distribute deliveries
• Deliver completed doors to job sites.
• Adhere to and maintain compliance with established systems, policies and procedures
• Keep supervisor(s) informed of progress, issues and successes
• Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for continuous performance and process improvements
• Contribute to a spirit of cooperation and teamwork within and between departments and shifts
• Demonstrate and uphold Company values

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One (1) year of warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills required. 
• Computer skill proficiency required. 
• Ability to obtain forklift certification required.
• Ability to obtain a DOT driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate tools and equipment to include a computer and various small hand tools.
• A high level of attention to detail, organization and follow-through skills.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. 
• Ability to read, interpret and carry out instructions in written, oral and diagram form.
• Strong customer service (internal and external) focus.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to sit, stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds or more with assistance. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, touch objects, tools or controls and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and push or pull. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. 

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, heat, cold and stress. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
