ID_SARMC Saint Alphonsus Health System is Hiring a Medical Technologist Near Nampa, ID

Employment Type: Part time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: At Saint Alphonsus Health System, we are looking for people who are living out their calling. As a Medical Technologist at Saint Alphonsus Health System, you will perform tests related to the diagnosis and treatment of patients by utilizing various medical laboratory procedures in the Clinical Laboratory. You will correlate and integrate other patient data when interpreting test results. You will use professional judgment and have an in-depth knowledge of laboratory techniques, scientific principles, quality control, and instrument maintenance as well as recognize problems, identify causes, and determine alternative methods and solutions. Our ideal candidate will have knowledge in all areas of the laboratory and familiarity with applicable clinical laboratory equipment. Must possess comprehensive knowledge of at least one specialty such as Hematology or Chemistry or have considerable knowledge in many sections of the laboratory. Must possess a high degree of precision and accuracy. Education: Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related science required License/Certification: Medical Lab Technician (MLT), Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or equivalent certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) required or registry eligible and obtained within 1 year of hire date. 1 year of medical technology training preferred. Experience in a clinical laboratory preferred. Why Saint Alphonsus?
