Description

iCare Health Solutions is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a healthcare background who can act as a facilitator and consultant to internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, we are seeking person who also has experience with process optimization. Project management responsibilities include: oversight of all aspects of assigned projects; setting of deadlines; assigning responsibilities; leading and directing the work of others; monitoring and summarizing progress; monitoring risk and navigating barriers to success; preparing reports for upper management regarding status of projects. Process optimization responsibilities include documenting process flows with users; consulting with users on optimizing processes; documenting and managing resulting IT requirements; managing implementation of improved processes.

The successful candidate will manage key healthcare client implementations, internal projects, and initiatives. The individual will enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing various requests; seek opportunities to add value; rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; capitalize on the wide degree of creativity and latitude allowed. This position will support all departments within the organization. 

Job Responsibilities:

· Manage new & existing client implementations

· Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the efficient execution of projects

· Assist business teams with the identification and proposal of new projects

· Lead project and adhoc meetings

· Set expectations for diverse project teams and manage project progress

· Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

· Develop supporting documentation including spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps, when required

· Ensure that project tasks are assigned based on individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels

· Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

· Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

· Perform risk management to minimize project risks

· Report and escalate potential issues to management, as needed

· Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

· Present project and portfolio reporting to stakeholders and executive team

· Evaluate and assess post-project performance including quality, successful completion of short and long-term goals and ROI

· Work with internal departments as a process improvement consultant

· Document, optimize, improve, and implement new processes

· Use and continually develop leadership skills

· Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations

· Support the IT Security Committee and Compliance Department by coordinating business continuity training and tests

· Perform other related duties as assigned

· Provide training and respond to questions regarding the use of PMO Software

Requirements

Education & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience

· Background in health insurance or managed health care, preferably dealing with ocular health

· Proven work experience in project management

· Track record of working with teams on process improvement initiatives

· Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Solid organizational skills 

· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

· Project Management Professional certification is a plus (PMP) / PRINCE II/Six Sigma)

· Proficiency in project management and flowchart software tools

· Experience with QuickBase and SharePoint is a plus

· Experience with documenting and leading lessons learned
