Purpose:The Logistics Manager manages all aspects of the organization's logistics management function to control, deliver, and distribute products and materials to the destination. This position will oversee logistics in the central distribution center (CDC) and collaborate heavily with our corporate procurement team. Major Responsibilities:Implements an overall strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an optimized logistic network and operations. Oversees critical and related inventory, distribution, and transportation operations that support the achievement of organizational goals and KPIs for product delivery and customer satisfaction. Selects vendors and negotiates rates and service levels and monitors performance. Ensures compliance with all regulations governing transportation of goods. Utilizes analytics to monitor and measure performance, identify problems in operations, and achieve high performance at optimal cost.Knowledge/Experience: Current knowledge of supply chain and logistics best practices; specifically within mid-market industrial distribution/manufacturing5-7 years of management experience in the supply chain and logistics functionExperience implementing lean business practices Solid experience in change management via collaborationAnalytical skills to perform research and analyze quantitative data to make sound decisionsBachelor’s degree preferredLean Six Sigma Certification preferredApex Certified, ideal; CPM or CPIM preferredBasic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google SuiteSkills/Attributes: High emotional intelligence and relationship management skillsDemonstrated change management through creative persuasion and cross functional collaborationProject management skills; strong planning, organization and follow-upStrategic-tactical-operational planning and executionManages by the numbersAble to balance needs of customers and owners with needs of suppliers/business partners #HP
