IMC is currently hiring a Scheduler PRN, who assistsphysicians’ offices and patients in scheduling diagnostic and therapeuticservices to be performed by the hospital. Ensures that pre-certification and insurance verification are done in atimely manner and that pre-certification has been obtained prior to anyprocedure being performed that requires this. Communicates patient financial responsibility to the patient ORcommunicates the patient’s insurance benefits to the Financial Counselor sothat a proper quote of patient financial responsibility may be communicated tothe patient. All employees are tocommunicate in a customer-friendly, professional manner to assist our patients,visitors and other customers. Everyeffort is made to have scheduled procedures pre-admitted and notified offinancial responsibility 2 weeks in advance of their procedure. In the absenceof the PFS Floater Scheduling assists with renaming, uploading, resorting andorganizing of the orders in the RightFax system, Scheduling patients from faxedorders as needed.

EDUCATION

• High School graduate or equivalent.

TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

• Backgroundof medical terminology and prior health care experience desirable.
• Two years related experience in a health carefacility preferred.
• Knowledge of Insurance Verification/Precertification a plus.
