Stainless Steel Finisher / Polisher

I-CON Systems, Inc. (I-CON) is a 28-year-old manufacturing company located in Oviedo, FL (10 minutes outside of Orlando, FL). Our corporate offices and manufacturing operations are based out of a 55,000 SQF state-of-the-art facility. I-CON is the leading manufacturer of intelligent plumbing controls in the penal and correctional industry.

Position Detail

The position posting is for a talented, energetic and motivated Finisher / Polisher whose responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

• Being responsible for most of the aspects of metal finishing
• Grinding, polishing, and deburring metal (stainless steel) on the various products being manufactured
• Being able to effectively utilize a variety of hand/power tools (grinder wheel, polishing tools, etc.)
• Having a working knowledge of ratings, rpm and torque of the tools being used throughout the processes.
• Providing recommendations and general production process improvements.
• Performing equipment PM as assigned.
• Participating in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals, as well contributing to the overall positive team spirit of the department and Company.
• Protecting confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of third parties.
• Performing other such duties as may be required.

Minimum Position Consideration Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
• Must have experience grinding, polishing and deburring metal (18ga-12ga stainless steel sheet metal)
• Experience working within a metal fabrication manufacturing environment – with the ability to work off of blueprints/work instructions.
• Must be an effective communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to understand and convey information both in a group setting as well as one-one-one.
• Proficient in problem solving, and the ability to understand and carry out instructions communicated either verbally, written or through diagrams.
• Have the ability to lift/move up to 50lbs, correctable vision of a minimum of 20/30, and be capable of standing for extended periods of time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
