Location: This position can work from anywhere in the US, with offices currently in Seattle and Los Angeles for employees to use as needed.

What You’ll Do:  

Simply said, the Director owns the client problem. They are the expert, responsible for assuring the client experiences the best Hypothesis has to offer, while effectively managing qual and quant focused teams independently. They are a leader who can mentor others, manage client relationships and has a finely tuned mastery of research and project management techniques.

Project Management:  

• Take responsibility for the team’s projects (including budget and resourcing) 
• Guide the project lifecycle including methodology, analysis, and story telling
• Oversee the writing of reports, questionnaires, and discussion guides 
• Be the “final eyes” on the key deliverables 

Client Management and New Business:  

• Design and present to clients the study methodologies and supporting proposals 
• Maintain and grow relationships with clients
• Help develop and write proposals

Team Management & Leadership:  

• Effectively manage team assets, ensuring that there is an equitable distribution of work and projects
• Mentor, encourage, teach and grow team members 
• Conduct annual performance reviews of direct reports
• Develop an area of particular expertise and lead that area within the company 
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the company

What You Have:  

• Bachelor’s degree
• 8 years’ experience
• 2 years’ management experience
• Fully understand and able to lead projects with complicated methodologies, while accurately explain method and findings
• Ability to provide sound advice confidently to clients 
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent ability to identify the relevant “story” within a dataset and conceptualize report slides to tell that story 
• Understanding of how any one project fits into the larger context of a client’s business
