Position Title:Clinical Support Specialist

Position Location:St. Louis, MO - Remote

Summary:

As the Clinical Applications Specialist, you will be responsible for driving clinical adoption, utilization, account management and expansion for hospital customers SWOOP® portable MRI programs. In this role, you are the technical subject matter expert and account manager for our commercial customers, to include - protocol adoption and clinical workflow best practices. As a technical consultant, you will develop strategic relationships (new physicians trained and increasing SWOOP® scans quarterly). You will be responsible for training clinical stakeholders including MRI Technicians, Radiologists, Critical Care team members (ICU RN, Neurointensivists, Neurologist, etc.). In addition, you will also present programmatic updates to the administration and C-suite stakeholders in each account within your territory.

The Clinical Applications Specialist reports to the Director of Customer Success within the commercial organization. This role functions as the clinical and technical expert in a team-sales strategy in partnership with the Regional Sales Directors (front line sales). This role is high visibility within the organization and in close collaboration with Marketing, Clinical Science and R&D groups. Support of KOL development and hospital reference sites is especially important.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strategic account relationships as the primary technical consultant for Hyperfine products in low field MRI image processing, use cases, protocols, and clinical workflows 
  • Develop strategies that support customer entities in optimizing their standard procedures and workflows
  • Work with customers pre-sales, throughout the installation phase, and deliver customize training per customer specifications, needs and applications
  • Subject matter expert in MRI sequences and protocols and act as consultant with clients on how to optimize image quality and maximize the scanner’s utility
  • The ability to train, understand and communicate nuances of low field MRI images to technical customers (Radiology and MR radiographers)
  • Monitor and drive adoption, retention, expansion, and advocacy of customers within the portfolio
  • Manage and prioritize all opportunities to enhance client relationships and acceleratethe decision-making process that will grow revenue through increased adoption within afacility or network
  • Mitigate attrition risks by identifying product gaps and coaching customers to takeadvantage of all available resources
  • Deliver ongoing customer (physician and end user) education and training to develop account proficiency and program success
  • Partners with the sales team by providing technical expertise in various sales cycles to win new business, including accompanying site visits as needed
  • Consult with sales on identifying sales opportunities within existing installed base to increase sales and revenue goals
  • Support new product evaluation and clinical studies
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (ex. Sales, product, marketing, clinical sciences, clinical applications) by sharing feedback, identifying trends, and making introductions that result in increased value for the customer and Hyperfine
  • Represent Hyperfine and demonstrate products at trade shows and society meetings
  • MRI peer Key Opinion Leader (KOL) development
  • Understanding workflow optimization
  • Support scanner software and firmware upgrades for customers
  • Perform scanner implementations at customer sites
  • Perform virtual and on-site training of scanners to customers
  • Participate in image review with customer physicians and Hyperfine medical officers 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge reading MRI images to make consultative clinical recommendations to optimize procedures
  • Experience working with a variety of stakeholders including: physicians,, business administration,clinical, etc.
  • Ability to develop relationships with key decision makers and influence them on technically complex procedures
  • Strategic thinker and creative problem solver

Education/Experience Required

  • Associate’s degree in Radiology Sciences or related field
  • Registered Technologist with the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) and current credentialing in MR (Magnetic Resonance)
  • 5 years’ experience in clinical MRI
  • 3 years’ experience in customer facing role leveraging products or services (MR industry experience)
  • 2 years’ experience operating in clinical applications or clinical training experience

Physical Demands

  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time including occasional weekend travel
  • Work from home based office
  • Have an automobile for groundbased transportation
