POSITION DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities/Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Responsibilities include supporting the Business Development Group with the following duties:
- Maintain SharePoint libraries of proposal-related information including templates, write-ups, project descriptions, and resumes.
- Work with staff to update project team resumes/bios and project descriptions.
- Support Proposal Managers with proposal-related tasks, including:
- Review and outline relevant requests for proposals (RFPs) as directed, including summarizing proposal requirements, response due dates, and major deliverables.
- Work closely with the Proposal Manager to develop a proposal strategy and response timeline.
- Draft initial annotated proposal outline and incorporate content from various colleagues.
- Curate proposal files during the proposal process to ensure proper version control.
- Coordinate proposal content to ensure compliance with RFP requirements, evaluation criteria, and technical requirements.
- Research and track business opportunities.
- Assist with other Business Development-related duties as required.
Required Skills
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
BS/BA minimum - no particular subject area required.
0-3 years of similar work experience.
Other Requirements: Strong analytical, creative, and innovative problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, among others) and SharePoint. Knowledge of database programs a plus. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to write using concise and grammatically correct English. Knowledge of the environmental/scientific industry is highly desirable
