OPPORTUNITY

The primary purpose of this position is to Lead the CGW Production and Warehouse teams in driving Hydrite’s safety culture and maintaining a continuous commitment to attain 100% customer satisfaction consistent with the vision of One Hydrite.

As Plant Manager, primary responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for leading and driving the Hydrite safety Vision, Mission and Values for the CGW Production and Warehouse team
  • Participates in on-going safety activities, including compliance checks, safe behavior visits (SBVs) and housekeeping audits at the direction of the General Manager – Process Business
  • Responsible for ensuring 100% compliance and timely completion of catalyst training for the CGW team
  • Participates in the investigation and corrective action efforts for all west plant incident investigations
  • Manages CGW production operation, ensures CGW packaging log is established and raw materials and packaging components are available to meet demand
  • Responsible for managing warehouse operation including cycle counting, inventory accuracy, SLOB inventory and yard management
  • Lead the annual NSF audit and food warehousing license, including all related activities
  • Manage responses and corrective actions for customer complaints, including the necessary steps/workflow in SIMS and approval of material returns
  • Primary contact for all customer service and sales personnel inquiries to answer questions regarding product supply or customer concerns; owner of the CGW logistics mailbox

REPORTING STRUCTURE

  • This position reports to the Finance and Operations Manager.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is required. Chemical Engineering Degree preferred.
  • Five years of previous management experience.
  • Must have excellent analytical and organizational skills with an attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office.
  • Must have communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time (up to four hours).
  • Able to lift up to twenty pounds, up to four times a day.

JOB EXPECTATIONS

  • Completes special projects and summary reports as directed by the Operations Manager.
  • All staff members are responsible for reporting food safety problems to their supervisor or the SQF Practitioner upon observation of a known or potential issue.
  • Supports effective communication with all Hydrite departments where responsibilities overlap to ensure success of the branch team.
  • Guides employee performance and development through the use of daily communication and annual performance evaluations.
  • Annual review of job descriptions for direct reports.
  • Uphold Hydrite’s Standard of Excellence through a continuous commitment to maintain quality facilities and provide quality products and services to internal and external customers
  • Perform all duties outlined in relevant SOPs and all other duties to be assigned.
  • Participate in RCRA, regulatory, health & safety and process training activities as required.
  • Review changes/additions with your supervisor. Must be RCRA compliant.
  • Manage Master Cleaning schedules to ensure completion.
  • Provides input into annual proposed capital plan for CGW
  • Responsible for managing the CGW controllable warehouse spending; includes inputs into the annual expense budgeting process
  • Regular attendance is essential.
  • Work with other staff members to maintain workload balances. Provide back-up support as necessary.
  • Support effective communication with all Hydrite departments where responsibilities overlap to ensure success of the branch team.
