Hyatt Regency Denver Convention Center is Hiring an EVENTS COORDINATOR Near Denver, CO

This Event Coordinator should be a highly motivated individual who is eager and ready to accept additional responsibilities when needed. The ideal candidate has a friendly demeanor, the ability to learn new computer programs, can multitask complete projects in a timely manner, detailed oriented, organized and diligent. This person should demonstrate exceptional customer service and problem solving skills.

The Event Coordinator at the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center is responsible for being the day of coordinator for functions, acting as the liaison between meeting planners and service staff. Onsite group management responsibility will require Event Coordinator to know the detailed knowledge of the hotel meeting facilities, on site group dynamics/event details, hotel operational guideline/procedures and an ability to critically think clearly and professionally in front of clients. These duties comprise approximately 75% of the position

The additional remaining 25% with be proving administrative support to a team of Event Managers, coordinating onsite billing in conjunction with our billing shared services and in house finance team. Support the event managers in all phases of a booking being the liaison between Event Managers and Clients. Event Coordinator might be assigned responsibilities similar to those of managers.

Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Preferred knowledge of computer applications to include Envision sales, EMS, ECA, ECC, Cognos, Hy-Res, Opera, Social tables, Sertifi, Hyatt Credit Portal, Group Bill, Planner Portal, Clover, Cendyn e-menus and e-brochure, EventBzz, Oracle, Track-It and Microsoft office. Reserve is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • 75% onsite contact for day of events. 25% administrative duties
  • Must have open availability to include Mornings, Evenings, Weekends and Holidays

The starting rate for this position is $21/hr
