HX5 is currently seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our team in Houston, Texas at NASA Johnson Space Center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain property, material, and inventory.
• Responsible for the project task request coordination, manage the life cycle of manufactured products, including preparation, schedule, shipping, and receiving.
• The logistics specialist will support the maintenance of logistics policies, administer, and maintain inventory control program systems of controlled/non-controlled hardware and coordinate with the manufacturing, quality, procurement, and facility management teams to promote accurate and timely processing of orders for customers
• Develop job kits to full-kit level including materials, consumables, and documentation
• Manage Tools and Tools Crib
• Manage controlled hardware transfers
• Manage non-controlled inventory
• Controlled Storage management
• Consumables planning for B10 manufacturing floor and B9S Cleanroom
• Procure and manage consumables for the department
• Coordinate and schedule offload operations (PR, tracking, 290, receiving, receiving inspection, etc.) of raw materials, manufactured hardware
• Ensure overall self and personnel safety and compliance with NASA and Jacobs safety policies and operations
• Perform other duties as required

Education and Experience

• Must one of the following combinatinos of education and experience.
  • Bachelors degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited colege or university plus six (6) years of progressive and relevant experience. Additional Experience can be substituted for prograssive experience
  • Requires two (2) years of college with courses in business administration, industrial management, or another appropriate discipline with eight (8) years of progressive experience.
• The work requires a basic knowledge of proper office procedures. Must have ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent verbal communication interpersonal skills
• Proficient with ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office applications and smartsheets
• Excellent organizational skills

Preferences

• Familiar with JSC Instructions for Control of Program Stock
• Familiar with JSC flight hardware processes and procedures

Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
