Thank you for your interest in joining the Hutchinson Technology team! Responsibilities Support manufacturing as part of the high-volume manufacturing engineering process team. This includes process troubleshooting, investigating failures, implementing corrective actions and providing technical guidance throughout the organization on the process. Learn from failures and improve the process to eliminate failure modes and prevent repeat occurrences. Actively participate in the complete experimentation cycle: design, perform, analyze, communicate results, and implement solutions. Work to scale up new products and identify / implement improvement projects to support high volume goals. Evaluate parts and complete failure analysis to generate defect paretos. Identify opportunities to improve equipment capacity through cycle time gains and OEE improvements. Effectively communicate the status and results of projects to HTI managers and executives regularly through verbal and written communication. Communication with customers and/or suppliers may be required. Qualifications Associate's degree in an engineering or technical field. Familiarity with component processes or manufacturing environment, preferred. Willingness to occasionally adjust your work schedule to meet project milestones, and to occasionally travel to other domestic HTI sites or suppliers (domestic). Good oral and written communications skills. Capabilities as a self-starter in a team environment.
