Job Description
$17-$22 per hour
CAD Designer
Full Benefits Package (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Aflac, 401k with company match)
Hourly/Non-Exempt
CAD Designer Knowledge and Skills
- Must be highly detailed and organized and be able to work within specified deadlines.
- Read and interpret commercial structural and architectural drawings.
- Extract wall headers, LVL and EWP as well as Simpson / Mitek hardware from the structural details.
- Identify wood species, sheathing types, shear walls.
- Strong math skills related to basic geometry.
- Above average written communication skills with regard to RFIs (request for information) when plans are deficient.
CAD Designer Experience
- 3 to 5 years minimum experience estimating lumber and hardware for commercial projects
Qualifications
- Must pass company required drug screens
