Hunt Electric is Hiring an Apprentice Technician (DAS) Near Littleton, CO

Position Overview:

Hunt Electric is currently hiring an Apprentice DAS Technician to fill a position with today's largest industry leader in Low Voltage Installation. Presently, we are seeking an individual to work alongside trained personnel in the DAS industry while gaining valuable OJT. This person will work installing backbone cabling systems and building out DAS systems in new and existing buildings in and around the greater Salt Lake City area. Hunt Electric is based out of Utah and have more than 30 years of experience working in various departments of the cabling industry, although this position is being filled in Colorado.

This full-time DAS Apprentice Technician position receives a competitive salary commensurate with experience and position responsibilities. Major Duties:

  • Install DAS/Small Cell infrastructure and equipment.
  • Pull Cable, Coax, and Fiber through new and existing buildings.
  • Provide general assistance for DAS Installation.
  • Install equipment racks in closet locations and cabinets.
  • Assist with orienting antennas and system components based on engineering design.
  • Work on rooftops for the purpose of installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems, cabling, and equipment.
  • Perform maintenance & troubleshooting, under supervision.
  • Assist with completing cable sweep, PIM and fiber testing.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repair issues identified by the quality and operations teams.
  • Use and maintain hand tools and mechanical equipment.
  • Know the hazards associated with construction equipment and working on or near equipment.
  • Follow instructions accurately and complete assigned course of action.
  • Recognize safety hazards and perform duties in a safe manner.
  • Communicate issues to supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Must be willing to travel; limited travel: ~25% or less.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of general construction and the use of hand and some power tools
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Have a desire to progress in Information Technology Systems Division (ITS)
  • Clean background

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with General Labor/Construction Labor
  • Ability to complete the work according to QC specifications
  • Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Great customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a Team Environment

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and be a self-Starter
  • Experience with termination and testing of UTP and coaxial cables
  • Experience with termination and splicing of fiber-optic cabling
  • Experience Following blueprints and schematic

WORK SCHEDULE

This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 4:300 pm, Friday, 7:00 am - 2:00 pm.
