Human Resouces Department is Hiring a Human Resources - Human Resources Representative I Near Indianapolis, IN
This position reports to the Human Resources Business Partner, and may take direction from the Vice President Human Resources and the Sr. Vice President of HR/Chief People Officer. This position requires: High school diploma or its equivalent, as well as 1-2 years previous experience in data entry into an HRIS or comparable systems database. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Requires above average skills in word processing, data entry (proficiency in HRIS), Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain the confidentiality of personnel information. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook preferred. Ability to obtain (previous experience preferred) an understanding of personnel policies Strong human relation skills in working with all levels of staff on issues related to this position Organization and administrative skills The ability to manage competing demands and adapt to frequent changes events are also required PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Processing, verifying, maintaining and filing personnel documents Processing employment data into the HRIS Processing/data entry of background checks and drug testing results, and archiving files Assist with employment verifications Assist with the hiring process Manage and maintain employee Form I-9s per legal retention requirements May assist and support the activities/special projects of the Leadership Development and Human Resource Department senior leadership as required. Providing support for Human Resources functions of the Association as required. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: ·Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. ·Ability to adjust focus and concentrate on filing/data entry despite frequent interruptions and distractions. ·Ability to prioritize work responsibilities, use time efficiently, manage competing demands and adapt to frequent changes and unexpected events. · Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and monitor work for quality. · Ability to communicate positively and effectively with employees, volunteers and members of the community. · Ability to edit work for spelling and grammar and read and interpret written information. · Ability to maintain confidentiality, remain open to feedback and exhibit willingness to try new things. · Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. · Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and transport equipment from one location to another. · Ability to observe and promote safety and security procedures.
