Huitt-Zollars, Inc. has an immediate full time Survey Party Chief opportunity in the Tacoma, Washington office. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in all phases of land surveying, construction, boundary and topographic surveying. Responsibilities:

• Independently performs surveying assignments, making exact measurements, and providing data relevant to the shape, contour, location, elevation and dimension of land or land features.
• Operates and maintains all instruments and measuring devices including levels, robotic total stations, GPS equipment and data collectors.
• Knowledge of Trimble field equipment and data collector software.
• Download and upload survey data to data collectors and office computers.
• Mentor and train other staff.
• Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• May assist in preparation of survey drawings using AutoCAD software.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years land surveying experience
• High School diploma or GED required
• Working knowledge of surveying.
• Highly motivated
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Ability to operate Trimble Robotic Total Stations, Trimble GPS equipment, TSC3 data collectors, and digital levels, and other related equipment.
• Valid Driver’s License

Annual Base Salary Range: $68,000-$84,000 depending on experience and qualifications of the selected candidate(s). The expected salary range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Washington Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed upon compensation is based on the success candidate's individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and consideration to participate in our discretionary annual bonus incentive program.
