Huitt-Zollars' Irvine, California office has an excellent full-time career opportunity for a Civil Engineer In Training ( EIT) with a BSCE Degree from an accredited University. This opportunity is for a New Graduate with 0 to 4 years of experience, advanced AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation. The role will work collaboratively in a team environment providing engineering design for public works infrastructure and transportation projects.

Responsibilities:

• Produce design plans for public agency projects; roads, streets, storm drain, sewer, water and reclaimed water, trails, schools, utilities, site, and civil facilities

• Design and drafting of site development projects and offsite improvements; potential for work in other practice areas (public works, transportation) as workload dictates; site work includes grading, drainage, LID

• Assist project manager with of design plans, specifications, construction support, cost estimating, geotechnical coordination
• Produce design and construction drawings incorporating information from supervisor, research data and consultants for various projects including land development grading, utility, drainage, paving plans, etc.
• Research materials and assemblies for design and construction drawings as directed by supervisor

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
• 0-4 years’ related experience
• obtaining or obtained a FE Certificate and demonstrate progressing responsibility toward being a professional engineer
• Proficient in MS Word, Outlook and Excelengineer
• Capability to utilize AutoCAD
• Strong organizational skills
• Good Communication Skills
• Works well in a Team Environment
• Thorough attention to detail
