Hudson Valley Credit Union is Hiring a Data Analyst Near Poughkeepsie, NY

Overview

Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Data Analyst. Primary Function: Supports data sourcing initiatives to meet the business requirements of HVCU and the Business Intelligence department. Assists with monitoring and identifying data integrity into HVCU's databases and generation of accurate reporting for HVCU's business units.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the automation of data import processes utilizing software management tools, such as Visual Studio by troubleshoots error codes and ensures success and timely execution of business intelligence processes.
  • Validate third party export files to ensure all they meet data standards and format requirements.
  • Responsible for analyses of data sets including participation loan data, employee incentive file creation and third party industry data for comparison metrics.
  • Coordinate automation of third party data exports utilizing Visual Studios through creation of data files to establish and analyze member profitability and product and organizational profitability.
  • Perform data validation for third party data imports/exports and operational reports for the Business Intelligence department and upon request by HVCU’s leadership team.
  • Complete Ad hoc reporting as necessary utilizing SQL Management Studio at the direction of the VP of Business Intelligence and members of HVCU’s Leadership team.
  • Assists the Business Intelligence department with monitoring, analyzing and explain changes within HVCU’s key performance indicators.
  • Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Embrace and apply HVCU’s guiding principles to all activities and responsibilities. This includes the Credit Union’s Mission, Vision, Core Values, Employee and Member Value Propositions, Sales and Service Model, and commitment to Lean Six Sigma practices. Support the Credit Union’s initiatives by demonstrating teamwork and professionalism.
  • Responsible for regular and predictable attendance including punctuality.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree or at least 2 years equivalent experience for each undergraduate year not completed; undergraduate degree cannot substitute for minimum number of years of experience Accounting/Finance or equivalent degree required
  • Minimum 2 Years Information Technology experience preferred
