Your Role as IKO’S New Instructional Designer Summary Reporting to the Manager of Learning and Talent Development, this role will build and execute a training strategy to support Workday usage across the business. This includes collaborating with the HR Systems team, HR Managers and IT team in assessing IKO’s Workday training needs and building e-learning, video content, job aids, presentation decks and facilitator guides to support the user’s Workday experience. This role will also support the implementation and on-going maintenance/administration of Workday Learning (LMS). This is an integral role on the North American Learning & Development team. Responsibilities Partner with the HR Systems & HR Management team to identify training needs across the business (i.e., employees, managers, HR, Payroll). Design a training strategy that outlines what content needs to be built to address training gaps. Develop digital learning materials that enable users to adopt and become adept at using Workday. Develops user training and train-the-trainer material, remediation plans, and informs the HR Systems team of challenges and opportunities to improve learning and system adoption. Supports in the development of job aids and other materials that help users navigate processes (day to day and periodic/cyclical), adapt to system enhancements, and change. Use various methods to survey, investigate, enhance and monitor levels of change adoption across the business. Recommends initiatives to the HR systems team that may enhance end user adoption and effectiveness. Work with process owners & stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve the process flow and enhance end user adoption and effectiveness. Coordinate and schedule all HR Systems training. Support the Workday Learning (LMS) implementation and manage content hosted in Workday Learning (both internally developed and sourced from external vendors). Own the day-to-day operations of Workday Learning (LMS). Qualifications Min. 3-5 years’ experience in developing and delivering training (systems training or technical training experience an asset). Strong understanding of Adult Learning and Instructional Design principles. Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills. Strong Project Management and Facilitation skills. Understanding of change management principles and tools. Experience administrating or implementing an LMS (Workday Learning an asset, but not required). Experience using e-learning and video creation tools (Articulate 360, Captivate). Undergraduate degree in Business or Human Resource Management.
