Job Purpose:The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for architecting, engineering, and maintaining the company’s enterprise network. The senior senior network engineer will be responsible for leading and mentoring the junior network and handling advanced support issues. This position will have the ultimate responsibility for the functional management of the enterprise network, the delegation of tasks and the resolution of network issuesTo ensure success as a senior network engineer, you should have extensive experience working with enterprise networking and security technologies, strong leadership skills and advanced project management skills.A top senior network engineer ensure that the networking team works as a cohesive unit, while maintaining stability, security and performance of the network. Essential Job Functions:Engage in WFG company culture that emphasizes engagement in our 4 Cs, quality of work and high performance.Design and implement functional enterprise company networks.Maximize network resiliency, redundancy and scalability in all aspects of your network design.Collaborate with the information security team to ensure that all networks follow best practices in securing, identifying and stopping security threats through the entire enterprise network.Provide leadership and mentoring to junior networking team staff.Stay abreast of the latest networking and security trends by collaborating with colleagues and vendors.Conduct regular network performance testsReview monthly security vulnerability assessments provided by the infosec team and ensure that all critical findings are remediated.Delegate networking tasks to junior network team members.Work with partner teams and vendors to manage day-to-day operations and reliability of the regional network.Collaborate with the development teams to assess the needs to existing and new development projects to ensure that their network needs fit within our network.Deployment, configuration, and management of all network infrastructure on our data center campus.Establish and implement global best practices and contribute to the design of new scalable network solutions.Manage & troubleshoot escalated network support issues throughout the organization.Research, evaluate and recommend technologies to support business requirements.Collect and review network utilization data for capacity and planning purposes.Collect data and provide networking reports to the SVP, IT Operations.Expert Level Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: IP Routing: BGP, MP-BGP, OSPF, RIP, MPLS IP Routing Platforms ISR4K, ASR1K, ASR 9k.Switching Protocols: VLAN, DOT1Q, RSTP, Ether channel (LACP & PAgP), vPC.Switching Platforms: Cisco Nexus, Cisco Cat3K, 4K, 6K, 9K.Security Protocols: IPSEC VPN, GRE, MAB, 802.1x, MACSEC.Technologies: OSPF, BGP, MPLS, GRE, QoS, Multicast, DMVPN, SD Access, SDWAN, Cisco DNAc, VxLAN, 4G/5G, WiFi 6, IOTMS.Next generation firewall configuration to include advanced packet insptection for SaaS and DLP.Experince with hybrid on premise/cloud networkging MS Azure, Amazon AWS and Google GPC.Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor degree in information technology, computer science or a related field.At least 10 years experience as a Network Engineer in a large enterprise environment.Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.Good analytical and problem-solving skills.Dependable and flexible when necessary.·Must successfully pass a criminal history background check.Preferred Qualifications:·Certificates - Palo Alto PCNSE, Cisco CCIESupervisory Responsibility:This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work Environment:This job typically operates in a professional office environment, but may depending on circumstances qualify for telecommuter position.
