HR Partners is Hiring a Finance Manager Near Stilwell, KS

Classification: Full-time; ExemptDepartment and Location: United StatesReports to: Director – North AmericaWork Schedule:  Schedule is determined based on business needs which may include weekends and/or holidays.

Mission:

To provide competitive, independent, investigative research and product development in: crop production; crop protection; food quality; environmental preservation, product stewardship, genetics and seeds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Information
  1. Report financial results to SynTech Group, North America Director and Managers/Team Leads on a regular basis to ensure up-to-date awareness of company finances.
  2. Develop and manage monthly budget reviews with all budget holders and include revenue and invoicing reviews.
  3. Oversee the issuance of financial information.
  4. Review all mandatory regulatory filings.
Planning
  1. Monitor and direct the implementation of financial business plans.
  2. Develop and implement financial, accounting, and tax strategies.
  3. Develop all documentation needed to support tax filings external accounting firms.
  4. Assist with capital requests and budgeting processes.
  5. Develop financial performance metrics that support overall strategic direction.
Operations
  1. Attain complete competence with the Finance Module of the Acumatica tool. Develop a deep understanding of the Project Management Module of the Acumatica tool.
  2. Maintain positive relationships with all members of the SynTech team.
  3. Manage accounting, investor relations, finance, and tax issues.
  4. Assist with financial information for any third parties to which functions have been outsourced.
  5. Administer financial transaction processing systems.
  6. Implement financial operations best practices.
  7. When applicable, supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiate acquisitions.
Risk Management
  1. Understand and mitigate key elements of the financial risk profile.
  2. Monitor any legal issues.
  3. Construct and monitor reliable financial control systems.
  4. Ensure that North America financial policies and procedures complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  5. Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
  6. Report any financial risk issues.
  7. Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.
Funding
  1. Develop a cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes cash threshold benchmarks.
  2. Arrange for debt and equity financing, as needed and/or available.
  3. Invest funds and pension funds, as needed and/or available.
Third Parties
  1. Maintain trusted banking relationships.
  2. Represent the company with investment bankers and investors.

Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job position. Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience and 10 years of progressively responsible financial management experience for a company or division of a corporation. Should have experience in partnering with leadership team participants, and have a high level of written and spoken communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA in Finance and the Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations.
  • Five to seven years progressive leadership experience in direct or indirect job responsibilities related to Finance Manager duties.
  • A proven history of excellence in client service, management, leadership, agricultural lab and field financial operations management, preferred.
  • Able to travel, as needed.
  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently while performing the job duties which require this ability, required.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to read computer screens, e-mail and mail, talk on the phone.
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms.
  • Able to work in highly regulated, high pace environment.
  • Must be able to walk, stand 30% to 50% of the time, squat, bend, kneel, climb, push, pull, use hands; reach with hands and arms overhead; speak and hear effectively in team and/or one-on-one conversations.
Work Environment:
  • Office setting in a tempeture controlled environment.
  • Interaction with employees and visitors.
