HR Partners is Hiring a Director of Finance Near Girard, KS
- Managing the staff within the finance, member services, and administrative departments and ensuring they are informed of the necessary policies and decisions that affect their positions.
- Preparing and analyzing the monthly and year-to-date financial statements for the Cooperative and its subsidiary, Heartland Propane, and reporting those results to the board of directors and top management.
- Developing long-range financial forecasts and cash flow projections, assisting with cost-of-service studies and rate studies, and making recommendations for updates of the equity management policy.
- Coordinating and preparing the annual budget, analyzing variances, and advising the CEO of its status.
- Maintaining the Cooperative’s overall accounting system in compliance with all RUS, Federal and State guidelines and regulations and board-approved financial policies.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required with a minimum of five (5) years of experience. Experience in USDA Rural Utility Services (RUS) Uniform System of Accounts preferred.
- Required Licenses or Certifications: Valid Driver’s License, Certified Public Accountant License or the ability to obtain is preferred, but not necessary.
- A strong understanding of Balance Sheets, Income Statements, as well as payroll and plant asset accounting.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and co-workers.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle and feel, reach with hands, arms and talk and hear.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Vision abilities include close and distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
