Our client, The University of San Francisco (USF) is looking to fill a temporary, with the potential for permanency, Sourcing Manager (Entry Level) position.

The Sourcing Manager will strategically plan for the procurement of goods and/or services, manages strategic sourcing relationships, assists in the management of other Purchasing and Ancillary Services (PaAS) business operations, programs, and services. This position is required to work on-site due to the nature of this role and its responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the development and implementation of sourcing initiatives to deliver high value, best-in-class procurement strategies.
• Manage and assist in all procurement activities including but not limited to vendor management, source-to-pay activities, sourcing events, contract management, and analysis of data and business analytics.
• Provides support in all business finance operations.
• Builds and manages effective relationships and successfully partners across varied functions and management levels of internal stakeholders, external suppliers, agencies and colleagues to drive results and influence change.
• Regularly provides updates, reporting and relevant data analysis along with recommendations for University initiatives.
• Performs additional duties/assignments as required by Purchasing and Ancillary Services

Qualifications

• Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified in Supply Management (CPM) preferred or willingness to obtain within three years of position start date.
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain management, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate and develop others.
• Superior communication skills and ability to document complex processes in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong organizational skills; problem solving skills; multi-tasking; flexible and able to manage multiple projects.
• Must possess strong data analytical and mathematical skills.
• Knowledge of purchasing principles and ethics.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Professional and e-Sourcing tools.
