POSITION SUMMARYThe Bar Prep is responsible for supporting the bar department and bar team in advance of the shift. This role involves bar setup, prep & stocking, batching cocktails, preparing juices and garnishes, organizing, maintaining overall cleanliness, and ensuring the efficiency of the bar and surrounding areas.ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES• Provides support through preparation and proper presentation of all bar items, juices and syrups according to recipe in an efficient manner.• Ensures that the quality of all inventory and fresh produce are of the highest standards.• Proper management of inventory levels including the storage area.• Assists management with tracking of expiration dates on all products.• Maintains cleanliness of all bar prep equipment and areas.• Completes any beginning or closing shift duties as directed by Bar Manager.KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS• Minimum 6 months’ experience as barback or busser in a busy environment• TIPS alcohol certification• Passion for hospitality and a desire to grow within the company• The ability to work under pressure and to a high standard• The capability to meet the physical and scheduling demands of the position, including walking, standing, or lifting heavy items for extended periods, and working nights, weekends, and holidaysPhysical Requirements: • Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.• Ability to stand for prolong periods of time. • Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the work area and property. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment. • Climbing steps regularly. The base pay range for this position is an hourly rate of $25 per hour.
