Job Title: Lead Maintenance Technician Department: Lab Common Reports To: Maintenance Manager Location: IMC Central Facility Prepared By: Maintenance Manager Status: Full Time – Hourly Prepared Date: June 5, 2018 Job Classification: Non-Exempt Work Hours: Summary The Lead Maintenance Tech will provide daily direction to his or her team to support the operational environment in all areas by ensuring pm schedule and work request are followed and completed in a timely manner. Leads will be responsible for generating progress reports of up to date data of top 3 breakages and their team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises all aspects of machine maintenance in the optical manufacturing lab. Responsibilities include: Maintenance task delegation, monitoring and reporting maintenance KPI goals, and oversees maintenance workshop. Train all maintenance technicians on regular repairs, calibrations and preventative maintenance tasks. Ensures proper operation of equipment by performing scheduled preventative maintenance. Performs PM audits to ensure task completion and proper procedures are followed Monitors and completes all required maintenance tasks within a specified timeframe. Performs calibration and verify test standards are within required tolerances. Manages the repair and calibration of key tools and measurement devices inclusive of general calibration. Keeps inventory by entering in part information into the CMMS Administers and updates all calibration methods and procedures as required. Maintains control and traceability related to tooling inside shop and outside vendors. Communicates to production to leads or supervisor machine updates and machine status and timeframe for repairs. Actively participates in building a collaborative and productive team environment Trains on calibration process as needed. Contacts vendors for support with machine repairs and diagnostics. Performs installation of all types of optical equipment and works with engineers as needed. Interprets engineering schematics and procedures used during machine diagnostics Supports the operational environment by maintaining an OSHA safety standard, there Assists with building maintenance as needed Position Requirements Must have background in optical machinery, automotive or maintenance Must be able to read and understand technical data provided for the role Schneider generator and polisher training certificate Job DescriptionHigh School Diploma or GED Experience working with computer programs Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay task oriented Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs Ability to pass down critical information Good communication skills and a team player Preferred Forklift and scissor lift operations licensed and able to perform safely Technical certification
