Howler Brothers is seeking to hire a Staff Accountant to join the accounting team. Howler is growing quickly, and the Finance and Accounting team is looking for a new team member to step in and work on accounts receivable, reconciliations, process improvements, and various other responsibilities. In this position, you’ll be expected to think independently, to be a problem solver, and to execute various duties in a timely and organized manner. This role will be integral in standardizing various accounting processes to support our rapid growth.

You will be expected to extend the highest level of service to customers, vendors, and business partners. What You’ll Do:

• Manage day to day accounts receivable activities including invoicing, collections, and new customer onboarding
• Respond to all wholesale customer billing inquiries via email and phone
• Report and reconcile differences or issues found in financial records
• Performs reconciliation of all eCommerce and Retail transactions
• Assist in month end close duties
• Assist the accounting department with the development, documentation and improvement of accounting policies and procedures
• Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor 

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 1 years of accounting experience a plus
• Proficiency at Excel including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
• Experienced with and enjoy technology; NetSuite/ERP experience a bonus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail
• Ability to prioritize, organize and solve any problems in a timely manner
• Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
