The Application Engineer will perform applications engineering activities in support of proposal, sales, and bookings objectives, using skills and techniques to proactively seek out and successfully close new equipment orders. This role provides a hybrid work schedule. · Represent the company in outside customer, supplier, and public activities · Lead new order entry and handover process to project execution teams · Help to secure and manage standard equipment projects from order through delivery · Participate in new business, product, and process improvements · Perform technical review of customer/project specifications and identify and rationalize requirements outside of standard scope/design to ensure the product/proposal package is designed to meet agreed upon specifications · Perform aerodynamic calculations and product selections to most effectively meet customer process needs · Perform cost estimates for equipment and services · Prepare and present formal product and services quotations to customer · Provide technical assistance, information, support, and guidance to customers and sales representatives · Maintain and improve levels of proficiency in application engineering skills, tools, and techniques What do you need to bring? · BS degree in Mechanical and/or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent · Ability to perform and understand engineering calculations, interpret and understand engineering drawings and bills of material · Familiarity with various industry standards: i.e. ANSI, ASME, ASTM, API, MIL, SAE, and similar · Knowledge of fabricating and assembly of heavy industrial products · Logical problem solving skills, good organizational skills, and dedication to quality and integrity. Proven ability to quickly assess complex issues and identify root causes/key success factors · Positive attitude, ethics, and values necessary to support the company’s mission and a high performance culture · Ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously · Strong competitive desire and motivation to successfully complete tasks and win orders in line with established goals and behaviors What will you get in return?
