Howard Memorial Hospital is in need of a Weekend Nursing Shift Director. Ability to handle stressful situations in the Emergency Department, ICU, or Patient Care Unit. The candidate must be able and willing to work Saturday, and Sunday. Required to work 48 of the 52 weekends in a year. HMH policy and procedures are implemented which result in efficient and effective operation of the facility.Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilizes knowledge, skill, and judgement in providing direct and indirect patient care
• Participates in patient/family/staff education
• Provides safe practice in all aspects of patient care activities
• Collaborates with other staff and ancillary departments as a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care
• Actively participates in work plans to meet HMH goals
• Participates in on-call rotation

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
• BLS/ACLS/PALS required; TNCC preferred
• Current Arkansas or Compact State RN licensure
• Two years of experience working in an Emergency and Med-Surg setting.
• At least three years of management, team leader, or supervisor experience preferred.
