HOWARD MEMORIAL HOSPITAL is Hiring a Clinical Nurse Educator Near Nashville, AR

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prepares short and long term planning and programs to address identified needs
  2. Teaches content as needed and/or assigned within clinical expertise to facilitate orientation, staff development, and/or safe practice
  3. Serves as a role model for education, professional nursing practice while promoting excellence and safety
  4. Integrates ethical principles in all aspects of practice
  5. Maintains required educational and/or clinical competencies
  6. Seek opportunities to develop staff in various roles
  7. Responds to changes in nursing practice and develops programs to support those changes. The CNE works with the CNO to ensure that educational programs are congruent with organizational missions, vision, values, and goals. The CNE will need to know how to maintain flexibility when managing multiple roles and responsibilities.
  8. Interprets and communicates across multiple disciplines

Secondary Functions: All other duties required by the Management

Education/Skills

  • BSN required; MSN preferred
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office

Licensure

  • Current Arkansas or Compact State RN licensure
  • BLS Instructor, ACLS Instructor and PALS Instructor required; ENPC Instructor and TNCC Instructor preferred 
  • ACLS and BLS required; PALS and TNCC optional

Experience

  • Work requires 3 years of applied clinical experience as an RN in a health related field or as a Clinical Educator or instructor.
  • A master’s degree in nursing may substitute for 2 years of required experience or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
