Summary This position reports to IT Support Team Lead/Manager within the IT Organization led by the Director of IT for HACP. The mission of HACP IT Department is to provide Best of Bread, Resilient and Agile IT Infrastructure & Application Services to enable HACP Employees deliver Fit for Purpose Housing Services to HACP Resident Communities, Applicants, Partners and Regulatory Entities. All activities must support the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (“HACP” or “Authority”) mission, strategic goals and objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The position duties and responsibilities listed below describe the general nature and scope of work. Other responsibilities, duties and skills may be required and assigned, as needed. As part of the IT Daily Operations /Keeping the Lights On : Discover & manage a security driven network (LAN, WAN, Internet, & Cloud) Resolve Network Issues/Incidents including working with Contracted Services Providers Plan, Deploy & Configure IT Changes on Network Devices including but not limited to Firewalls, Switches, Routers configurations, managing security settings, access control, network traffic management, network packet tracing. Provide Network Inventory, Availability & Performance Daily Statistics via Metrics Approved by HACP’ Director of IT As Part of the IT Services Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the Networking component of the IT Strategic Digital Transformation Roadmap Build Business Cases for New Network Initiatives/Projects aligned with the IT business driven goals and objectives Own and manage the Network Work streams within other IT Projects. Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s Degree in management information systems, information technology, or related field and a minimum of 5 years of IT related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Technical Skills -Familiar with TCP/IP related configurations -Admin configurations of network switching and routing devices, -IP address management, -LAN & VLAN-Firewall configurations- managing security settings, access control, network traffic management, network packet tracing, -Understanding of cabling (they use fiber and copper RJ45) CAT 6 and above. -Security driven network -Understanding of LAN sub netting/VLANs -Experience with design and implementation of Network services -Operation Monitoring and Support- SNMP monitoring Desired Certifications: Fortinet Certification Certified Network Administrator Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
