The Housekeeping Houseperson will assist the housekeepers in maintaining a clean, warm and inviting guest room and public space that exceeds our guests' expectations.To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform, with or without reasonable accommodations, each essential job function. Responsibilities

Assist the housekeepers in rooms and public areas according to LHW and Hotel Granduca standards.Follow the guidelines to ensure the proper handling of chemicals and equipment.Assist with stripping beds, removing trash, transporting linen. 

Sort and collect dirty linen, discard trash from guestrooms and public areas.

Clean and sanitize guest rooms and public space.

Organize and store clean linens, supplies and amenities on floors.Deliver items and linens to guest rooms. Shampoo carpets, mop/vacuum public area floors, hallways and restrooms, assist with deep cleaning.Adhere to safety, OSHA and sanitation regulations. 

Adhere to department SOP's, handboook policies and Standards of Appearance.Maintain assigned keys in a safe and secure manner.Practice the hotel Core Values and 3 Steps of Service.Respect guest privacy. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma or equivalentAt least 1 year related experience in a full-service luxury hotel 

Excellent work ethics and and detail- orientedMust be able to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers

Ability to stand and walk for long periods, use both hands, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, bend, stand, sit, walk

Ability to push, pull, carry at least 90 lbsMust be dependable and able to work with minimum supervisionAbility to speak and understand English and follow verbal and written instructionsBilingual -English/Spanish - preferred

Knowledge of floor and carpet care, use of shampooers and vacuumsAbility to manage time effectively, prioritize and multi-task and meet deadlinesMust be able to work assigned schedule - AM, PM, weekends, holidays
