The Busser assists the servers in creating a memorable dining experience by delivering exceptional service to the guests. To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily. Responsibilities

Monitor and replenish required items to satisfy guest's needs

Fill and replenish water and non-alcoholic beveragesClear tables and remove dirty dishes and linenClean and sanitize outlets and service areas

Wipe tables, vacuum and mop floors and ensure area is ready for guest arrivalClean and polish glasses and silverware Reset tables between courses and at end of service

Maintain a pleasant and cordial demeanor and be ready to assist the teamAssist with food runner dutiesMaintain basic knowledge of wines and menu Maintain visibility on the floor and assist servers

Adhere to sanitation and food safety regulations

Practice the 3 Steps of Service and Hotel Core Values

Adhere to the Standard of Appearance and handbook policiesComplete open and closing assignments and side work Maintain a professional, warm and cordial demeanorPerform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma or equivalentAt least one year experience as a busser in a full service luxury hotel or fine dining restaurantAbility to walk and stand for long periods, bend, crouch, reach, use both hands, push, pull and carry at least 60 lbs

TABC certificate Food Handlers' certificate 

Excellent work ethics and dependability

Ability to carry trays from kitchen to tableAble to speak and understand English and follow verbal and written instructionsBilingual - English and Spanish - preferredExcellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to multi-task and perform job with minimum supervisionMust be able to work assigned shifts - AM, PM, weekends, holidays
