We’re looking for a People Specialist to join our team and help deliver an exceptional associate experience across People programs. As our team grows in 2023, we’re looking for someone who will be a proactive partner in supporting and improving programs while building relationships with associates across the business. Our People Specialist will be excited to deliver an associate experience that engages our team, differentiates HE as an employer, and helps individuals and teams achieve our ambitious goals.

Here's what you'll do:

• Manage new hire orientation which includes; leading the first day presentation, owning the administrative onboarding tasks all while ensuring compliance with employment verification and background checks
• Continue to build and expand our current onboarding experience with new initiatives and ideas 
• Act as the subject matter expert on all benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401K, STD, LTD, COBRA) 
• Partnering to creating, implementing, and evaluating all people department policies and procedures
• Develop strong, trusting relationships with members of the HE team to gain support and achieve results
• Continue to expand your expertise in human resources, seeing growth and change as an opportunity to innovate and improve how we support our associates
• Partner and support the Talent & Culture team on projects and initiatives 
• Demonstrate functional expertise by responding to questions regarding benefits, HR systems (Lattice, Paycom) and programs and company policies 
• Become the expert in our HRIS system: keeping accurate and timely records, onboarding new associates, auditing data, and seeking ways to be more efficient and/or automated 
• Assist Payroll department with various administrative tasks and communications 
• Have high attention to detail when auditing projects around benefits, Paycom, etc.
• Stay up-to-date and comply with changes in labor legislation and compliance

Here's what we're looking for:

• 4 years' experience in a similar role in a high-growth company
• Proven work experience as a People Specialist or People Generalist
• Ability to prioritize work efforts and navigate change
• Ability to work independently and be proactive in identifying opportunities and recommending solutions 
• Strong project management, communication and organizational skills 
• Able to handle sensitive and confidential situations and info appropriately 
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience with Paycom, Lattice, and Microsoft Suite/Teams
• Denver based is a plus 

This role is eligible for remote work within the U.S.

Cash Compensation:

• The base salary range for this role is $60,000-$65,000/year plus stock options with a targeted annual bonus potential up to 15% of base salary.
