Position Summary The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for modeling the 3 Company values of Compassion, Integrity, and Excellence, and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of success as the foundation. S/he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders. Under direction, to operate medication and medical supply room containing a variety of medications and medical supplies; to order, receive, store and issue supplies and equipment; to maintain a variety of records on items ordered, received and issued; and to do related work as required. Position Specific Responsibilities Operate a medical supply room containing a variety of medical and other supplies and equipment. Prepare and maintain records of requisition. Read, understand and maintain records of purchase orders and storeroom operations. Plan and efficiently arrange the storage of a variety of supplies and equipment. Maintain perpetual inventory records to insure adequate stock. Safely lift and move heavy and bulky objects. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Preparation and packaging of supply and medication deliveries and arranging for shipment through courier and delivery services. Delivery of supplies and medications to patients as needed, ensuring proper handling and return of all related paperwork. Maintenance of delivery records and compliance with HIPAA laws for patient paperwork. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or GED required. College degree is a plus. Medical supply management, ordering, and organization experience preferred. Skills Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, colleagues, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications. Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces hospice philosophy. Physical Demands and Work Environment: The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Adaptations can be made to accommodate team members with disabilities. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
