Information Technology Manager

Job Summary:

The Information Technology Manager will oversee, perform, and participate in the testing and implementation of the computer system and provide full IT Manager services for the system implementation. The position will be responsible for the company website, network and applications, providing computer and systems information tools. Responsible for assessing computer equipment, software and training needs. Manage network, application and system security.

Job Qualifications:

  • Education- College degree or three years of comparable industry experience.
  • Licensure- Texas Driver's license.
  • Experience- In a customer and technical support role.
  • Skills- General knowledge in working with various databases and report writers, and general knowledge of networks. Must be able to interact effectively with others. Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Transportation- Reliable transportation, valid auto liability insurance.

Environmental and Working Conditions:

Works in an office environment, promoting efficient functioning and coordination of all Agency activities to insure the highest level of professional care. Ability to work a flexible schedule; ability to travel locally; some exposure to unpleasant weather.

Essential Function and Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain the organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers.
  • Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems.
  • Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups.
  • Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access.
  • Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses.
  • May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
  • Responsible for the overall management of IT systems. Directs and coordinates systems, programming, operational activities and equipment acquisition.
  • Coordinates maintenance and operations of clerical and office functions and an operational and effective IT system.
  • Acts as the agency Privacy Officer. Maintains the confidentiality of client/employee information at all times, in accordance with Privacy Practices and HIPAA regulations.
  • Responsible for the support and implementation of IT systems and telecommunication technologies. Tasks include end user support, license tracking, documentation, PC maintenance and repair, upgrades and configurations.
  • Participates and attends hospice in-services, education programs and practices proper safety and infection control techniques in accordance with OSHA standards.
  • Provide and/or coordinate day-to-day technical and application support to employee users of the company's system.
  • Manage and maintain various system interfaces and file transfers.
  • Manage and schedule company technology sub-contractors in support, on-site work, and projects.
  • Manage and/or coordinate system projects as assigned.
  • Provide on-call support.
  • Maintain and monitor company's security policies, and update and/or design policies as needed.
  • Maintains confidentiality.
  • Install, configure, maintain and monitor HOST server hardware.
  • Install, configure, maintain and monitor HOST server software. (Windows Server, Quickbooks, DHCP, DNS, DFS, IIS, PHP, Print Server, Hyper-V, MS SQLServer, Ascend, Omnicell).
  • Configure and maintain Active Directory for HOST domain.
  • Configure and maintain server backups.
  • Install, configure, maintain and monitor HOST network hardware. (Routers, Wireless Access Points, Network Switches.
  • Configure and maintain Virtual Private Networks (VPN) between all locations to allow access to file servers from all offices.
  • Install, configure, maintain and monitor personal and network printers and fax machines.
  • Personal Computer hardware installation, configuration and repair (Windows).
  • iPad hardware configuration and maintenance.
  • iPad APP installation, configuration and maintenance (MatrixCare, Delta Care, Tiger Text, Company mileage, Google Business Suite).
  • Phone system configuration and maintenance. VOIP and POTS.
  • Manage and Maintain security camera systems.
  • Cloud Software maintenance create/delete accounts and shared drives (MatrixCare, Tiger Text, Company Mileage, Google Business, Donor Perfect).
  • Modify HOST web page.
  • Manage Main office and Hallettsville office security systems (Door code and alarm code changes).
