HorizonPSI is looking for two Engineering Interns to join our Production Engineering team. These interns will primarily be responsible for providing drafting and drawing support and they will support the development and standardization of engineering technical documents. This position is similar to our Associate Design Engineering position, and is designed to provide an opportunity to current students pursuing a degree in Engineering.

- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Create and maintain HorizonPSI standard models, drawings and BOMs
• Convert standard equipment 2D AutoCAD drawings to SolidWorks 3D
• Develop working relationships with fabrication, assembly and engineering departments
• Follow company policies and safety practices as required

- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS -

REQUIRED:

• 2 years of completed engineering level coursework required – preference given to Seniors or those within 12 months of graduation
• Computer skills including but not limited to:
  • AutoCAD
  • SolidWorks
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with awareness and accuracy
  • High attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

DESIRED/PREFERRED:

• Basic understanding of manufacturing environment
