Description

The Business Systems Analyst will serve as a liaison between the business and technology groups to assist in the identification and execution of IT solutions to support business goals. This position will work directly with business users on request development and support the technical team by clarifying requirements, analyzing data, and performing necessary research to assist the development process. The role will support the test planning and testing and ensure that the developed solution meets the business need. This is an important role that will work with many areas of the organization and will be key in helping the organization meet its goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation of the business case
• Work directly with business areas to understand business processes and elicit functional and non-functional requirements to support projects
• Identify and design business/system improvement opportunities
• Ensure all information and technology solutions and services meet company standards and user requirements
• Organize, maintain, and store requirements in central repository
• Perform gap analysis for solutions and issue analysis.
• Assist and/or lead in the creation of project artifacts.
• Technical research to support interfaces and reporting
• Contribute to test plans and testing
• Perform Gap and Issue Analysis
• Operate with limited supervision or guidance and collaborate with team members in all areas

Requirements

• Strong Analytical and technical skills are required
• Previous experience documenting requirements and process documentation
• Strong Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communication targeted to the audience
• Understanding and experience of the Software development life cycle
• SQL experience is required
• Testing experience is a plus
• Project Management experience a plus
• 5 years in Business/Systems Analysis, certification preferred
