Job Summary

• *The Vice President, Mortgage Operations functions as a key contributor in workflow management, new initiatives, process development and culture building. Key functions include monitoring workflows and queues to ensure service levels are met, develop process improvements and actively seek methods to streamline business processes. Performs a wide variety of support and occasional managerial duties in support of the department. The VP, Mortgage Operations must use considerable judgment and creativity in organizing and managing the work flow to ensure all deadlines are met and each subordinate is in compliance. Duties include a high level of internal/external contact and management of varied records and files. Confidentiality is required, as sensitive situations may arise. Participate in the credit union’s long-term strategic planning and development; develop and implement initiatives and goals which will support the credit union’s overall strategic production plan.

Primary and Essential Functions*

• *· Oversee day to day operations of mortgage processes

• Coach, train and develop from an “Engaging” leadership mindset
• Handles locking process in accordance with current company procedures and requirements.
• Lead the team in compliance requirements for all loans including the completion of required disclosure of compliance documents
• Run daily reports and verify that mortgage loan pipeline reportable results meet expectations
• Responsible for vendor relations including the ordering of the appraisal, 4506T, Title work etc.
• Manage software being used for daily mortgage operation
• Align compliance trainings needed to remain compliant
• Process “Employee Loans”
• Leading meetings, preparing reports and validating compliance with regulation

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
• 5 or more years related experience in Mortgage Lending or Credit Union/Bank operations setting
• Leadership experience
