THE HOOK GROUP is Hiring a Remote Marketing Manager

WHO WE ARE

Hook is a Creative Production Agency. With a collaborative, maker-centric team, and an emphasis on production-led design, we develop creative campaigns, short-form content, and websites for well known brands.

Our mission is to integrate creative and production to help grow brands faster. But we believe what’s most important are the people who work with us and the experience they have along the way. We want clients to think of us as the best agency they’ve ever worked with, and we want everyone at Hook to feel like this is the best job they’ve had yet.

And so, Hook is organized around the idea that small, diverse and autonomous teams create better work—and a better work experience. At around 20 people each, our pod-like teams are built with a mix of designers, writers, producers, animators, and technologists. Individuals at all levels and from all backgrounds, all empowered to connect with the client and make the creative challenge their own.

WHAT’S A MARKETING MANAGER AT HOOK?

The growth team is charged with helping Hook win the work we want to do with the people we want to work with. In joining this team, your focus will be to help translate company mission, vision, and values into marketing materials that resonate with the people who hire us (clients) as well as the people we want to hire (job candidates).

This role requires an organized, production-driven and strategic thinker who can understand and convey how Hook can bring value to our clients. Focusing on our owned channels, you’ll help us to share our story, shine a light on our expertise, improve industry visibility, and drive inbound opportunities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Partner with Business Development Director to execute marketing strategy across platforms
  • Support execution of content marketing efforts — conducting research, managing content calendar, pitching content ideas, writing posts, and editing case studies, award entries and articles
  • Collaborate with designers, writers, producers, and engineers across the organization to source assets, select awards programs, develop social and site posts, etc.
  • Contribute to Hook’s social media channels, incl. efforts to optimize and amplify existing content
  • Update our website CMS
  • Track, analyze, and report on marketing performance (social, email, web)
  • Support proactive and inbound business development efforts, by vetting leads, researching potential new clients, creating contact lists, and managing our client database
  • Understand the agency landscape, and stay on the pulse of industry trends, continuously looking for ways to engage our audiences

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Experience in a professional marketing role
  • Initiative and resourcefulness to develop creative solutions amid ambiguous situations
  • Exceptional communication, written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build meaningful partnerships with individuals across the company
  • Ability to manage multiple shifting priorities and operate in a dynamic, time sensitive environment; supporting multiple teams, multiple projects and multiple time zones
  • Eye for design and attention to detail
  • Experience using social media for business
  • Experience using email marketing tools
  • Experience using content management systems
  • Google Analytics a plus
  • B2B marketing in the creative industry experience a plus

WHAT ELSE

Qualified applicants will include a resume and a statement of interest that lets us learn a little more about you.

We are a remote first organization with a “work from wherever (within the US)” approach.. We're a collaborative group of people who love the internet and want to create phenomenal work. Company benefits include health, dental, matching 401k, paid vacation and holidays, and more.

At Hook we value what makes everyone different, we look for the best talent no matter the background. We know that great work requires diverse perspectives which is why we strive to create a place of belonging where everyone can express who they are. Come join us!
