There is an immediate opening for an experienced Project Manager within Global Modular Projects team at Honeywell UOP LLC based at Des Plaines, IL. The Global Modular Projects team offers an alternative to an EPC approach for Refining & Petrochemical (R&P) process units by offering them as prefabricated modular units ready for quick and efficient installation at a plant site. As a key member of the Global Modular Projects team, you will use your project management experience and technical knowledge to lead projects valued US$15~100 Million, from PO to installation, delivering on time prefabricated modular process units to our customers worldwide. This position is responsible for leading a team of multi-disciplined engineers, procurement, project controls, logistics, etc., driving ownership at all levels to successfully deliver modular process units meeting all contractual requirements within budget. The position is responsible for providing leadership, support, and guidance to team members while maintaining positive relationships with the customers. You will be an ambitious Project Manager in a visible position to interact directly with peers and leaders with a capability to multitask, solve problems and the motivation to forge a career within a global business.
Travel required: up to 30% globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the activities of a project team throughout the life cycle of a project from start to close-out phases
- Develop, implement, and monitor project execution plan, including schedule, cost, and staffing requirements
- Review performance data (financial, budget, sales and activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress and activity levels
- Maintain positive relationship with customers
- Manage and coordinate meetings with Clients
- Lead a team of multi-disciplined engineers, subcontractors and service providers by providing clarity to scope of work and driving ownership at all levels to ensure implementation and delivery of all contractual requirements
- Track and control costs within budget while continuously looking for margin expansion opportunities
- Maintain accountability of team members for conformance and accuracy for their scope of work
- Implement meetings with teams and vendors to drive schedule and oversight
- Issue internal and external management reports as required
- Manage change orders, document reviews, punch list resolutions, and project close out
YOU MUST HAVE
- 5 years of Project Management or equivalent experience
- College degree in Mechanical, Civil or Chemical preferred
- Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) experience within the Global Refinery/Petro Chemical or gas processing industry

- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), Microsoft Project
